Naples · Palm Tree Trimming

The right way to trim Naples palms — and why most crews get it wrong.

The infamous "hurricane cut" is the fastest way to kill a healthy palm. Palms need green fronds to feed the meristem; strip too many and the tree slowly starves. Our crews trim only dead, dying, and damaged fronds plus seed pods — leaving your palms healthy, symmetrical, and hurricane-ready without the shaved-pineapple look.

What you can expect to pay

Palm trimming runs $85–$185 per palm depending on height, species, and how many years of neglect we're catching up on. Coconut removal is included on coconut palms.

Our process

A predictable, professional experience — start to finish.

01
Species check

Different palms tolerate very different pruning schedules. We identify each and plan accordingly.

02
9-and-3 trim standard

We trim to a horizontal plane at most — never past the 9 & 3 clock positions on the frond ring.

03
Seed pod removal

Pods and coconuts removed before they fall or attract rodents.

04
Cleanup

Fronds, pods, and debris fully removed. Driveway blown clean.

Frequently asked

Palm Tree Trimming — questions we hear the most

How often should palms be trimmed in Naples?+

Most coconuts and royals want a trim every 6–12 months. Sabal palms can go 12–18 months. Over-trimming is worse than under-trimming.

Will you do a hurricane cut if I ask?+

No. We will politely refuse and explain why. It's genuinely bad for the palm and shortens its life by years.

Do you fertilize palms?+

Yes, we offer a Florida-formulated palm fertilization program targeting the potassium and magnesium deficiencies common in Naples soil.
